Goosefoot/Lambs' Quarter Information
This plant is also a European import. It grows in the beds, walkways and uncultivated areas at the farm. Lambs quarters grows to be 3-5 five feet with branching stalks ending in pointed leaves. The underside of the leaves are white, mealy and shiny. One caution, don’t eat any leaves that have red spots or lines going through them. These are insect tracts that may contain eggs. The tips and smaller leaves are the best eating.
